The Aqualia Chair is once again organising the summer course, which this year will take place from 9 to 11 July 2024 under the title “Challenges and opportunities in the integral water cycle”.
The three-day course will address new and topical issues such as the main legislative changes in the field of wastewater treatment and drinking water treatment, the opportunities arising from these changes, the challenges in the management and treatment of WWTP sludge and a review of the state of regeneration and reuse in Spain. To this end, it will feature speakers of the highest quality from industry, academia and public management, with recognised national and international prestige. Visits will be made to industrial and R&D&I facilities. The course boosts the internationalisation of the UAL, since its subject matter is of interest in regions of high water stress, such as the Mediterranean arc, and is clearly committed to sustainability and social responsibility when it comes to making use of a resource that is as scarce as it is essential for life. It is aimed at the general public, as well as university students, scientists, technicians and professionals related to the world of water.
The Chair provides grants for all registrations. The amount is first paid and then reimbursed.
