This week, the University of Almería hosted the CE–RBVM 25 Symposium, a scientific meeting that brought together national and international experts in robotics, computer vision, and modeling. The event featured a keynote lecture by Professor Oussama Khatib, one of the world’s most influential figures in robotics, researcher at Stanford University, and director of the OceanOne project.
During his talk, Khatib discussed the future of robotics and its collaborative role with humans, emphasizing that “robots will not take over the world—they need us too”, as highlighted in this article published by the University of Almería:

Professor Khatib’s presence was an exceptional opportunity for attendees to gain first-hand insight into the latest developments in human–robot interaction, underwater robotics, and advanced control of autonomous systems. The symposium also served as a platform to strengthen collaboration networks among established research groups.
At CIESOL, we congratulate the organizers of the CE–RBVM 25 Symposium on the success of the event and for bringing internationally renowned figures such as Professor Khatib to our research community at UAL.
